The Moon F1 Fantasy League is a chaos-heavy game where players build teams of five drivers, two constructors, and a per-race Special Guest.

Points are earned through race results, unique modifiers, and unpredictable Chaos Mods that reward drama, style, and controversy. Special Guests add excitement with bonuses for podiums, crashes, or even swearing fines.

With Chaos Mods, Special Guest bonuses, and occasional point multipliers, this league blends strategy, luck, and pure racing chaos.

⚠️ Moon F1 Fantasy League is in its first season and is a work in progress. Moon F1 Fantasy League Manager Juney Ecclestone reserves the right to modify the rules at any point in the season, purely for "fairness" ⚠️

Teams

Moon F1 teams consist of five Drivers and two Constructors, plus one Special Guest driver for each week.

Once teams are chosen, they cannot be changed.

If you join the league mid season, you will get points retroactively based on the team you choose. You will receive 15 points for your Special Guest in each missed GP.

The season will be tracked on the 2025 Season Score Sheet, which includes teams, scores, results, leaderboards, and Chaos Tracker.

Driver Tiers

Drivers are split into three tiers. Each team chooses two drivers from tier 1, two drivers from tier 2, and one driver from tier 3.

Tier 1 Tier 2 Tier 3
Lando Norris Fernando Alonso Liam Lawson
Oscar Piastri Lance Stroll Kimi Antonelli
Charles Leclerc Pierre Gasly Jack Doohan
Lewis Hamilton Esteban Ocon Oliver Bearman
Max Verstappen Yuki Tsunoda Isack Hadjar
George Russell Carlos Sainz Gabriel Bortoleto
  Alex Albon
  Nico Hulkenberg

In the event of a permanent driver seat change, a team can choose a new driver in the same tier as the leaving driver. For example, if your driver was Daniel Ricciardo in 2024, you could change to another driver in the same tier if you don't want to stick with Liam Lawson.

In the event of a temporary driver change, a team must stick with the driver replacing their original driver. For example, if you driver was Kevin Magnusson in 2024, you would have to stick with Oliver Bearman when Magnusson missed a race due to food poisoning.

Constructor Tiers

Constructors are split into two tiers. Each team consists one constructor from each tier.

Tier 1 Tier 2
McLaren Aston Martin
Ferrari Alpine
Red Bull Haas
Mercedes RB
  Williams
  Kick Sauber

Constructors will gain points as outlined in the Point System section.

Special Guests

The Special Guest system allows you to choose a different driver for every week. The Special Guest drivers can only gain points through Special Bonuses. These bonuses are outlined in the point system section.

Special Guests can be chosen from any driver on the grid, even if that driver is already part of your team. You can choose the same Special Guest multiple times.

Special Guests are chosen by the teams before quali for each race. If a Special Guest is not chosen, one will be selected for the team by a random number generator.

The Special Guest is a chaotic system. You can win points for your Special Guest being on the podium, but you can also win points for them crashing out.

You can register you Special Guest pick with this form.

Some race weeks will have point multipliers. This will be at the discretion of Moon F1 Fantasy League Management.

Chaos Mods

Chaos mods are awards or punishments for drivers and constructors for actions during the season. These are calculated and tallied at the end of every race week.

Chaos mod points are based on drama, aura, style, pity, bloodlust, entertainment, sportsmanship, and intuition. They are not based on fairness.

Chaos mod points will be decided by Moon F1 Fantasy League Management. Appeals and suggestions can be made through official channels.

Examples of chaos mods:

Chaos mod points should be within five points unless something incredible happens, for example:

Chaos mods should generally not be applied where drivers are already punished in position. For example, crashing out embarrassingly will already mean a DNF, so extra chaos points should not be used.

Sprints

Sprint qualis and races will be awarded in the same way as the main quali.

Quali mods, final position mods, pit stop bonuses, and chaos mods will not apply to sprint races.

Special Guests will get points for Sprint races in the same way that they receive points in the main race.
